Our approach to grantmaking

The Foundation is dedicated to providing immediate relief to animals in need, supporting advocacy and education to change hearts and minds, and funding strategic and capacity building programs to enable systemic change for animals. This is the framework that guides our giving.

Immediate Relief

From the Heart

Providing support for sanctuaries, rescues, and emergency response, with some emphasis on birds, burros, and dogs.

Cultural Transformation

Changing Hearts

Improving the relationships of human beings with other animals including wildlife, farmed animals (primarily via diet change), and similar programs.

Systemic Change

Strengthening Hearts

Strengthening animal advocacy through capacity building, strategic research, and new laws and policies for select program areas.

However, if your work aligns with our priority areas, we welcome a brief introduction to your organization.
